Dr Ayanthi Wijewardene is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Royal North Shore and Concord Hospitals in Sydney, Australia. She obtained her MBBS with Honours from the University of Sydney and holds a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Newcastle. She completed her specialist training in Endocrinology at Prince of Wales, Concord, and Royal North Shore Hospitals in Sydney.
Dr Wijewardene was awarded a PhD from the University of Sydney, with research focused on the personalisation of thyroid cancer treatment. Her work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and presented at both national and international conferences. She is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney and is actively involved in all facets of medical education.
She has extensive experience across all areas of endocrinology, with subspecialty expertise in osteoporosis and thyroid disorders.
