Dr Shannon Zawada is a highly experienced and compassionate specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology, Infertility (CREI) and Gynaecology. She earned her medical degree and a Master’s in Human Reproduction and Human Genetics from the University of Sydney, and holds RANZCOG-certified subspecialist qualifications in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility — the highest recognised credential for a fertility specialist in Australia.
Dr Zawada practices as a consultant fertility specialist and gynaecologist at Life Fertility Sydney, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, The Royal Hospital for Women and Canterbury Hospitals. She also serves as a Visiting Medical Officer at Prince of Wales Private Hospital and St Luke’s Hospital, and is a lecturer in Perinatal and Women’s Health at the University of Sydney.
With extensive expertise across reproductive and women’s health, Dr Zawada’s clinical interests include the management of ovulation disorders, PCOS, recurrent miscarriage, endometriosis, fibroids and complex infertility. She is experienced in fertility preservation, medical and social egg freezing, andrology, preimplantation genetic testing, donor conception, surrogacy, menopause care, contraception and paediatric and adolescent gynaecology.
